The Situation
13 year old Bethany Hamilton didn’t ask to be thrust into the spotlight. But after returning to the water inside a month of being attack by a 14-foot tiger shark, the media and fans couldn’t stay away. At that time CR built Bethany a creative flash site designed to appeal engage females in the pre-teen to young-adult bracket as a result of her near instant fame. The Solution
Well, years later Bethany has simply outgrown the pre-teen specific site, and as a result, was in need of a site that was a bit more refined. One that could appeal to the greater surf populace. Bethany is now in her twenties, has partnered with Sony and will be releasing a major motion picture, and wanted a site that could be easily updated in an effort to keep people in the loop with her endeavors; whether surfing, traveling the world or both. CR did exactly that.
