One of our clients, Sarah Hernholm of Wit Kids, is in the running for Oprah’s search for the next TV star. Oprah is hosting a search to find people who want to share their passion with the world and possibly be chosen to have their own show on Oprah’s new network. Friend and client Nino Camilo of Musubi Maps host first annual Musubi Map poke festival on April 20th at the Bali Hai Resort on Shelter Island. The event will feature food, music, art and the best restaurants from around San Diego competing to claim the title of having “Best Poke”. General Admission $35/presale, $40/door.
Last week, CR had the privilege of meeting with a group that is currently organizing a benefit concert for Haiti. They told us their story of how sitting back and watching the images and news reports of devastation, displacement, and death left them with a feeling of helplessness.
“This is where San Diego Loves Haiti vision was born. A group of concerned citizens from throughout San Diego County came together voluntarily and formed San Diego Loves Haiti. We knew that if we could bring the people and businesses of San Diego County together we could raise enough money to do something substantial and lasting for the people of the Republic of Haiti.”–Sandiegoloveshaiti.org
CR was asked to get involved with their efforts to help Haiti. The San Diego Loves Haiti benefit concert will be instrumental in constructing a hospital, a school and an orphanage for Haiti with Promise Child. The concert event will be coming to Qualcomm Stadium in June of this year.
Boarders for Christ is christian skate, snow, and surf ministry based out of Carlsbad, CA. CR had the chance to redesign the website to accommodate a clearer navigation layout and infuse depth by adding an artistic full screen backdrop to the layout. The redesign incorporates featured posts and events along with a selection of media related content such as podcasts and photos displayed on home page. A navigation bar was also added to ease the navigation and make their content readily accessible and multiple pages were built out in order to sort content. You can see the designs below. We had the opportunity to convert Icon’ existing website into a blog format. The idea behind the build was to give Icon the ability to quickly and easily update and manage the content on their site. Being that the Icon church is a very active and community oriented group, this website will allow them to gracefully interact with their community by posting photos, events, and podcasts to their new site.
KEZA is a couture fashion label and business development firm. They develop African fashion businesses and work to elevate social responsibility standards of the international fashion industry. CR had the opportunity to refine the KEZA brand. This by simplifying the logo and creating an elegant brand built around a sleek typographic identity. CR also designed the KEZA website, it was designed to convey innovation and dignity; both elements which espouse well with the established mission of the brand. CR was able to provide a logo identity for The Love Agency. This new identity incorporates a versatile mark that can be individually branded on business materials or as a stand alone mark for their organization.
